Xbox 360 DLC Mini-Review: Fallout 3: Operation Anchorage
Posted by Mr Random on January 27, 2009
DLC Details
- Main Title: Fallout 3
- DLC Title: Operation Anchorage
- Released (UK): 27/01/2009
- Current Price (UK) : 800 MS Points
One Sentence Summary
Enjoyable expansion that takes about 3 hours to complete, with an extra 100 gamerscore available for anyone who cares about that sort of thing
DLC Overview
What do I get for my MS Points?
For your 800 MS points you get a 3-4 hour expansion that gives you another way to get the T51b power armour (though it is not quite as good as the one already in the game) as well as some other good weapons.
How does this compare to DLC for other RPGs?
It is very similar in length to the Fable 2 DLC, however I found from a personal level this DLC to be better value for money
Is it worth buying?
I would say it is, as the expansion is fully voice acted and the anchorage simulation is presented in such a fashion that it feels distinct from how the game itself is done. The only issue if you like Fallout 3 and are short on points is if you should spend it on the other Fallout 3 DLC that is coming in February and March. I would also recommend having your companion stay behind before you embark on the quest as mine died when I entered the simulation.
Rating
4/5 – High Quality DLC
